Born on December 5, 2000, in Rubavu, Rwanda, YewëeH is an influential Rwandan artist known for his unique Afro-Gakondo sound. Growing up in Kigali, he was inspired by Afro music, family traditions, and Rwandan Gakondo music, eventually earning a degree in Art from ESG in 2018. YewëeH’s work draws from icons like Fela Kuti, Angelique Kidjo, and Miriam Makeba, focusing on themes of identity, social issues, and nature. His collaborations span notable East African artists, including The Ben, Bruce Melodie, and Eddy Kenzo, and his projects—such as SIBA, MUBIGORI, and IGIKUMWE—have solidified his place in the art world. Dedicated to making Afro-Gakondo a globally recognized sound, YewëeH is currently working on his debut album and new releases, committed to offering unforgettable auditory experiences to his growing international audience.
